We’ll be in Hays at the Hays Public Library at 1pm this Saturday, July 30. Our presentation will include just what you can find on the trails of Kansas if you take the time to get off the highway.
Far more than a flyover state, Kansas has plenty of trails for those on foot, on wheels, and on horseback. We’ll tell you our favorite spots around the state, give you some information about writing the book, sign books, and books will be available to buy a $24.95.
We’re set up to do some book signings and presentations on Kansas trails about this summer. Here’s where we’ll be:
July 18 at 7pm at Lawrence Public Library
July 30 at 1pm at Hays Public Library
August 2 at 6:30pm at Faith & Life Bookstore, Newton
Books will be available for purchase for $24.95.
We’d love to see you at one of these events! If you can’t make it to one, you can always buy the book here.
We’re on the Lawrence Public Library schedule for July 18 at 7pm. We’ll be doing a talk on what you can see out on the trails of Kansas. We’ll be answering questions and signing books. We hope to see you there!
If you go:
Auditorium of the Lawrence Public Library
707 Vermont St, Lawrence, KS 66044
The Burger Stand
This Friday, Jonathan will be showing off just how amazing Kansas trails can be if you give them a chance. We don’t pretend that we’re the high mountain peaks of Colorado, but the stillness and vastness of the prairie and the trails winding through the woodlands can prove to be just as impressive (if in a more subtle way) and infinitely more accessible to those living in the Sunflower State.
We’ve heard over and over again how people think there’s nothing to do in Kansas in terms of trails and that it’s just flat interstate. However, our experiences and our book prove otherwise.
The presentation will be at the Great Plains Nature Center from 7 to 8:30. It’s a part of their author’s night – the author of Kansas Wildflower and Weeds will be there as well – another University Press of Kansas publication. It will be a great night and a great opportunity to be inspired by the landscapes of Kansas.
We’ve been hard at work getting some events organized for the summer so you’ll be able to ask us any questions about the book or about Kansas trails and even get your book signed!
